For plumbers and heating engineers
A chatbot for plumbers that answers on a Sunday night and marks the urgent ones.
A boiler that has stopped, a drain backing up, a leak with a bucket under it. It answers from the pages you already have, takes a name and a number, and puts the jobs that cannot wait at the top of your inbox instead of in the same pile as a price question.
Ridgeway Plumbing and Heating, a fictional example, Sunday evening
Boiler is dead and we have no hot water. Can anyone come out tonight?
Yes, we run an out of hours call-out in the evenings and at weekends. It is $180 and covers the first hour on site. I can have an engineer call you straight back. What is the best number for you?
How much to clear a blocked drain?
A standard clearance is $145 for the first hour. If it turns out to be a collapsed pipe or roots, that needs a camera down there before anyone can quote it honestly, and you would get the price before any work starts. Shall I have someone call you to arrange a look?
Do you cover Eastvale?
Yes, Eastvale is inside our area. We cover everywhere within 25 miles of the yard on Ridgeway Road, and there is no travel charge inside that.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a licensed plumbing contractor and we carry $2 million in liability cover. The licence number and the certificate are both on our About page.
The call you miss at 9pm goes to the next plumber on the list
A boiler that has stopped, a drain backing up, a leak somebody has put a bucket under. None of it waits until Monday, and a phone that rings out sends the customer straight back to the search results to try the next name on it.
It tells an emergency from a quote request
Every lead is read before it reaches you. Genuine time pressure, no heat in the house, a leak now, somebody saying today, arrives with HOT in the subject line. A price question with no deadline does not, deliberately, because a flag that fires on everything stops meaning anything. Sunday morning you open the top of the list and it is the right one.
It will not quote a job it cannot see
The real worry about putting a chatbot on a trade site is that it promises $150 for a job that turns out to be $600, and you are the one arguing about it on the doorstep. It answers with the call-out fee and the rates you have published, and on anything that needs eyes on the pipe it says so and offers to have somebody call instead.
Callback is a setting, not a workaround
The assistant has a callback mode meant for exactly this: answer the question, then take a name and a number and tell the customer somebody will call. It fits a trade better than a booking calendar does, because you cannot put a two hour slot against a job nobody has looked at yet.
You get a name, a number and what they wanted
Each lead arrives by email with a one line summary of the problem, so the morning starts with a call list you can work down rather than a transcript to read. It can buzz your phone over Telegram as well, which is free and takes a minute to connect.
Priced per month, not per callout
$49 a month with 500 conversations included. If you reach your limit the chat switches to a simple contact form for the rest of the month and we email you. We never bill you for extra conversations.
What it needs
On WordPress: 6.0 or newer, PHP 8.0 or newer and HTTPS. On Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow or a hand-built site it is one line of HTML instead. The AI is included, so there is no provider account to open. It replies in 32 languages, has daily message caps and rate limiting, and purges stored conversations for GDPR.
At 150 conversations a month
| Tool | How it bills | 150 conversations |
|---|---|---|
| Tidio | $29 a month, plus a Lyro AI quota from $32.50 a month | From $61.50 |
| Intercom | $0.99 per AI resolution, seats on top | Up to $148.50 plus seats |
| Drift | Folded into Salesloft, from about $2,500 a month | About $2,500 |
| Off Hours | $49 a month, 500 conversations included | $49 |
Competitor pricing verified August 2026. Intercom seat costs are not included, and its figure is a ceiling because only resolved conversations are billed. Tidio buys AI conversations in quota tiers, so its figure is a floor that rises with volume.

Ask it something yourself.
The demo runs on a fictional dental practice rather than a plumber, but it is the same assistant. Ask it the awkward questions and see where the conversation ends up.
